nido: Italian for nest

I have composed this dozens of times in my mind, but now that I am sitting down to put pen to paper (fingers to keyboard), I am in knots over putting this project out into the world.  For several years I have dreamed of opening a school that is rooted in Montessori philosophy, and serves children ages six months to three years.  My reasons are many, and I am happy to elaborate, but here is a summary.

 - Maria Montessori gave us powerful tools to understand young children; when we embrace her philosophy and methods, we are able to support each child as they develop into their best selves.

 - Our city has limited childcare options, especially for families looking for child-centered care that prioritizes holistic practices.

 - After my first child was born I found it nearly impossible to return to work; my goal is to support families as they navigate the challenges of parenthood.

My hope is that you will follow my journey as I work to build a nest for young children.
